Teardrops were falling from the corner of my eyes,
Could not say if it was really a goodbye.
Holding you close to my arms
I was praying for God's charms;
But the leaves from your tree of life had already fallen aground.
Years have passed since and still
I know this void can never be filled.
Your words of wisdom still echoes
And those images are now only shadows.
Oh! How I wishe to go back to that time that was once around.
When I look back now, those were halcyon days
But the sun of my life has lost its happy rays.
It looks as if it was all a dream
Passed away in a silently flowing strean.
And the melody of your once living life is now just a fading sound.
You fought for the truth and nearly
Won, but life does not seem to wait eagerly.
Still no matter what, what you preached
Will be left behind without ever being breached.
And the halo of your personality will, in this world, surround.
